About Craig Witthaus
Craig Witthaus has a quirky sense of humor, a passion for sailing and creative streak that all come together when he draws, paints and pokes fun at family and friends with drawings in his coveted “Craig Cards”! His artistic talents were evident at a young age and he was encouraged to pursue several mediums in his college coursework at the University of Oregon. Craig is a life long resident of the White Bear Lake area. He’s been sailing since he was five years old, and his sailing experience shows in the authentic design of the boats and “set” of the sails in his work. He has settled on oil painting as his primary medium, with a focus on landscapes and sailing themes.
Craig is also a twelve year cancer survivor, and has donated sailing themed pieces of art to the Twin Cities Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fundraising Regatta on White Bear Lake in the past.
He maintains his best critic is identical twin brother Marc, and looks forward to collaborating on future pieces with him when they can both find the time!
Craig blends his creative art with his teaching, coaching and consulting on Management, Human Resources and Organizational Behavior via his commissioned “Leadership / Management” paintings. Working with the client, Craig creates one-of-a-kind, personalized paintings for reward, recognition or retirement. The paintings are unique, memorable and provide a lasting tribute to the recipients’ achievements.
